E65: The Book

Everyone has a bucket list. And on almost any motorcycle rider’s list is some kind of remote destination —a dream journey. For many, that destination is the so-called “end of the world,’ in Ushuaia, Argentina. The 15 seasoned, adventure motorcyclists in this book made the dream a reality as they negotiated an uncharted route to the southernmost tip of South America, on a journey dubbed Expedition 65.

Within the 65 degrees of latitude traveled between the top of South America and its bottom, the epic voyage blazed an 11,000 mile path through many of the continent’s most iconic locations, from the world’s most dangerous road to the globe’s largest salt flat, and from the jungle to the desert. The experiences ranged from high-class to low-brow, and everything in between. Dig out the bucket list and get ready to take notes; this book will take you there.

Books

Left alone, photographs will tell you a story. But when they’re paired with the written word, the stories take on new life. And with each of these projects my images have done just that… evolved to become the supporting actor.

As the creator of the cover image for Motorcycle Messengers, my own journey through New Zealand had become the torch bearer for this book’s collection of travel stories. Each moment larger than the next, you’ll find it a great read.

Other images take supporting roles deeper behind the scenes as in the case with Cinenovel’s The Plunge of Icarus. Available in printed form, epub and as a full-featured standalone app, Plunge took nearly 5 years to create and thousands of images from around the world… well worth a look.

Calendars

Books are awesome. But they make very poor wall hangings. Calendars on the other hand deliver a fresh new destination every month of the year, and take us for a journey we weren’t expecting, every time.

After navigating nearly 11,000 miles from the top of South America to the bottom –Cartagena, Colombia to Ushuaia, Argentina– Lee Klancher from Octane Press in Austin, Tx, reached into my gallery and plucked out a collection of images for his Adventure Motorcycle series. Scheduled to deliver during the summer of 2017, this 2018 edition of the annual is sure to please. I’ll be pleased to see my images hanging on your walls! And sign up for the newsletter to be the first to know of the release date!

Ride Wear

Some of my talents reach beyond the camera lense, and deeper into my creative soul. Horizon Rider Wear is one these projects, offering t-shirts and neck buffs to travel enthusiasts around the world.

Stop the wind, block the sun, brag about your passport stamps…

The Horizon Buff is designed to be your neck-worn brag book, a record of your travels, and a carbon copy of the map you’ve got taped to your motorcycle panniers or rear window. Take a sharpie marker, or a spool of yarn and sketch in the routes you’ve traveled. It’s that simple! And when the conversation of where you’ve been comes up, you’ll have it right there to show off at any time!
