E65: The Book

Everyone has a bucket list. And on almost any motorcycle rider’s list is some kind of remote destination —a dream journey. For many, that destination is the so-called “end of the world,’ in Ushuaia, Argentina. The 15 seasoned, adventure motorcyclists in this book made the dream a reality as they negotiated an uncharted route to the southernmost tip of South America, on a journey dubbed Expedition 65.

Within the 65 degrees of latitude traveled between the top of South America and its bottom, the epic voyage blazed an 11,000 mile path through many of the continent’s most iconic locations, from the world’s most dangerous road to the globe’s largest salt flat, and from the jungle to the desert. The experiences ranged from high-class to low-brow, and everything in between.

Captured by long-time professional photographer Alfonse Palaima and scribed by British expat Colin Evans, this account reveals South America’s highest mountain passes as well as its most intensely spiritual landscapes, all experienced from the saddle of adventure motorcycles. Dig out the bucket list and get ready to take notes; this book will take you there.

Plaster Your Walls

Books are awesome. But they make very poor wall hangings. Calendars on the other hand deliver a fresh new destination every month of the year, and take us for a journey we weren’t expecting, every time.

After navigating nearly 11,000 miles from the top of South America to the bottom –Cartagena, Colombia to Ushuaia, Argentina– Lee Klancher from Octane Press in Austin, Tx, reached into my gallery and plucked out a collection of images for his Adventure Motorcycle series. Scheduled to deliver later this summer, this 2018 edition of the annual is sure to please. I’ll be pleased to see my images hanging on your walls! And thank you!

Print Shop

While you’re waiting for the calendar to ship, how about some prints? In cooperation with portfolio-hosting Photoshelter and WhiteHouse print house, I’ve built a collection of images aching to be free… these really need to be seen larger than what you see above in the books and magazines. A metallic print will dazzle your collection. While a canvas wrap truly brings my journey to your doorstep.  Click over to this Photoshelter gallery for more information, and be sure to view in full screen to get just a sampling. Thanks!
